The VDO Download key II is an ideal for transport medium for downloading and archiving mass memory data from digital tachographs. Offering maximum convenience and ease of use, it weighs less than 50 grams and is no bigger than a mobile phone.
The Downloadkey II has 2 interfaces: on one side there is a 6 pin serial interface, which is compatible with all digital tachographs, and on the otherside it features a USB 2.0 high-speed interface for transferring data quickly and reliably to a PC. This can be transferred to TIS-WEB or TIS Office for analysis and archiving purposes.

It provides a stand-alone solution for drivers where no driver supervision is required when downloading Driver Card data. Data in the Download Terminal can be read out using a USB Memory stick or connected directly to a PC via a USB or LAN connection.  This allows driver card and mass memory data to be imported into TIS programs or third part software quickly and easily for the purposes of visualisation, archiving and evaluation.

It is important that the lithium battery in the Digital Tachograph (DTCO 1381) Demo Case is replaced after 2 years and thereafter replaced on a regular basis (i.e. maintaining a two-year replacement cycle).
 
Vehicle Units where the buffer battery is irrevocably discharged will lose their program and cannot be re-activated.
