On Your Marks...Novadata hosts PCV Driver CPC Champagne Breakfast
At 00:01 hours on Wednesday September 10th 2008 Novadata will be conducting the first seven hour approved course towards attaining the PCV Driver CPC. To mark the occasion we will be concluding this debut session, which will end at 08.00 hours, with a full champagne breakfast. We hope you will join us.
The EU Directive 2003/59 that introduces the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) comes into force across all European Union member states on 10 September 2008 for bus and coach drivers. In future, just holding a vocational driving licence will not be sufficient for someone who wishes to drive such vehicles for a living. Employers will have a responsibility to ensure all the drivers they employ hold the correct certificate and licence.
In order to maintain their Driver CPC, all category C and D licence holders (including C, C1, C1E and D, D1, DE, D1E) will be required to undertake 35 hours Periodic Training every 5 years.
Aimed at improving road safety, the Driver CPC should also bring an improved professional and positive image to the industry.
Bookings are now being taken. To reserve your place phone or e-mail:
