Vehicles Carrying Asbestos Waste
From the first of January 2007 all drivers of commercial vehicles carrying fibrous asbestos waste must be ADR trained as per the requirements of section 8.2.1 of the “European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road” ref 8. The driver must be over 21 years of age and hold as a minimum an ADR licence for Class 9 goods. These licenses must be renewed every 5 years with a refresher course and exam being taken before the existing licence expires.
