ADR Training Courses; Initial & Refresher
The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road
Accord Europeen relatif au Transport international des marchandises Dangereuses par Route (ADR)
All drivers within the scope of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (Driver Training) Regulations 1996 must be trained and hold a Vocational Training Certificate issued by DVLA. This is required by UK regulations implementing the relevant EU directive.
 Courses must be approved by DfT and drivers must pass the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) examinations which are integrated in the courses. There are no 'grandfather rights' and compulsory refresher training must be completed within the five year expiry of the date of issue of the original certificate. The maximum number of delegates per course is 16. In-company courses can also be scheduled. Please note that time spent attending the ADR course will count as duty time under Driver Hours Law Regulations 561/2006. Course Modules
There are 9 classes of ADR dangerous goods and they are:
Packages and tanks, Initial & refresher.
ADR classes 2-6, 8 & 9 (5 day course; Monday to Friday)
Packages only
ADR classes 2-6, 8 & 9 (3.5 day course; Monday to Thursday 13.00)
Tanks only
(1.5 day course; Thursday from 13.00 and Friday. Only available if Core+ class already held)

Explosives: Radioactive:
We are running an EXPLOSIVES (class 1) course at our Braintree training suite on Saturday 17th of December 2011 and RADIOACTIVE (class 7 ) on Saturday 25th February 2012 . A small number of places are available at £150 + VAT, plus £20.00 SQA exam fee.
Candidates must already hold an ADR certificate for the Core to attend this course. Please note that packages are included within this module. |

Please note:
These courses run from 08:30 to 16.30 hours approximately each day in the training suite at our Braintree premises. There is ample free on-site parking.
Exam Fees:
Examination fees are £20 per paper. The candidate will have the option of taking each class required separately or as one of the following 2 options.
Option A - incorporates Core £20, Packages £20, Classes 2,3,6 & 8 £20 , Classes 4,5 &9 £20 + Common Characteristic paper £20 Total £100
Option B - incorporates, Core £20, Packages £20 plus 7 exam class papers @ £20 each Total £180
Tanker exam, 1 @ £20
Please note that if a candidate takes one of the group papers and fails one or more of the classes, it is a complete fail and the paper will need to be re taken.
Administration fee: £30.00
