Courses must be approved by DfT and drivers must pass the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) examinations which are integrated in the courses. There are no 'grandfather rights' and compulsory refresher training must be completed within the five year expiry of the date of issue of the original certificate. The maximum number of delegates per course is 16. In-company courses can also be scheduled.

Please note:
These courses run from 09.00 to 16.30 hours approximately each day in the training suite at our Braintree premises. There is ample free on-site parking.
Optional Extra:
Lunch can be booked for £5.00 per person, per day.
Exam Fees:
Examination fees are £20 per paper. The candidate will have the option of taking each class required seperately or as one of the following 2 options.
Option A - incorporates Core £20, Packages £20, Classes 2,3,6 & 8 £20 , Classes 4,5 &9 £20 + Common Characteristic paper £20 Total £100
Option B - incorporates, Core £20, Packages £20 plus 7 exam class papers @ £20 each Total £180
Tanker exam, 1 @ £20
Please note that if a candidate takes one of the group papers and fails one or more of the classes, it is a complete fail and the paper will need to be re taken.
Administration fee: £30.00

The ADR system will be handled by the Scottish Qualifications Authority rather than City & Guilds as from 1st October 2006.

All drivers within the scope of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (Driver Training) Regulations 1996 must be trained and hold a Vocational Training Certificate issued by DVLA. This is required by UK regulations implementing the relevent EU directive.
