First Aid Training Half Day AED Competent User Course
Who is the course aimed at? This course is aimed at allowing current HSE qualified First Aiders to learn the specific skills necessary to utilise their company’s Automated External Defibrillation equipment. The 4 -5 hour course meets the core competencies for defibrillator training as recommended by the UK/European Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Some of the skill sets covered include:
Basic life support assessment The chain of survival Anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and circulatory systems AED protocols and operation Resuscitation council guidelines
Accreditation All delegates will be assessed in Basic Life support drills at the start of the course and must pass a short multi choice question paper and show their competence with the AED to be successful.
All successful candidates will receive a certificate of competence which lasts 6 month (In line with resuscitation council guidelines)
Novadata is able to offer on-site training to organisations and companies to assist them in meeting their legal First Aid requirements with regards the use of on site AED’S to a course peak of 6 delegates.
