Tachograph Training Unit
A portable case holding up to four separate radio-style tachographs (digital or analogue) together with a speedometer and suitable for training purposes.
Supplied with Siemens VDO DTCO 1381 and Stoneridge SE5000
The case is provided with a 24V mains power supply suitable for powering up to four tachographs simultaneously. The electronics within the case control the supply to each of the tachographs, and also the ignition and illumination supplies. Each tachograph is provided with a separate speed source, so the speed to each can be set and controlled separately. Control of the supplies and signals to each tachograph is carried out using the supplied external controller. This is connected to the front panel of the demonstration case with a single light-weight cable (length 1 metre).
The enforcement training version of the demonstration case allows the supply to each of the speed senders to be controlled, and also the two signals between speed sender and the associated tachograph.
When not in use the power supply and external control unit fit into cut-outs in the detachable case lid. Reattaching th lid and closing the case results in an easy-to-carry package.
