NVQ. (Level 2)
(PCVD) Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving. (Bus and Coach).
It is important that you select the most appropriate qualification related to your work role. The candidate will have to be in employment as a PCV driver. The assessments are carried out in the workplace (vehicle), as such the schedule of the vehicle and the drivers productivity isn’t affected. Although the driver produces and provides all of the evidence the portfolio is collated by the assessor ensuring the drivers knowledge and performance meets the required standards set by the sector skills council (SSC) GoSkills.
Candidates are expected to be working as a bus or coach driver. On commencing this qualification candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold a PCV licence, as driving a bus or coach is an essential requirement of this NVQ.

What progression opportunity does this Edexcel NVQ offer me? On completion of this qualification, candidates may progress into supervisory roles within the transport sector, such as route supervisor, depot supervisor, traffic supervisor or inspector. Candidates who wish to further their training may progress on to Level 3 qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 3 NVQ for Managing in Road Passenger Transport.
What is the structure of the Edexcel Level 2 NVQ in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach)? To achieve the whole qualification at Level 2, a candidate must prove competence in 10 mandatory units, listed above.
