Novadata is an approved Driver CPC centre, offering Driver CPC training courses in Essex (Certificate of Professional Competence) for lorry drivers - LGV drivers (Large Goods Vehicles). Lorries are also often known as HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles). Driver CPC road haulage training courses:
In the UK, professional drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic CPC training every 5 years. Novadata's Driver CPC training courses are an excellent way to make up the 35 hours of periodic training necessary to obtain and keep your Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
When booking your Driver CPC courses, please bear in mind that ‘unnecessary repetition’ within each five-year period is not permitted. If you simply attend the same course multiple times, you may find that not all your training hours will count and your DQC could be revoked. Some repetition is permitted; for example, in order to renew a first aid or ADR qualification; or if there is a change in transport legislation. However, you do need to plan carefully. Our 5-day Driver CPC courses are all designed to ensure that you tackle a breadth of subjects.
If you are taking a single course every year, which is highly recommended, please make sure you attend a variety of courses in order to renew your DQC.
If you don’t already have a DQC, you passed your ordinary driving test after 1st January 1997 and you took your LGV driving test after 9th September 2008, you may need to take Initial Driver CPC training instead. Please contact us for advice as to the most appropriate training to obtain a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
Driver CPC training at your own premises
We are happy to provide Driver CPC training for groups of drivers at your own premises, or your locally hired venue. If you have a group of drivers, or wish to gather a group from similar companies or organisations in your area, we are able to provide expert trainers who can deliver several of our JAUPT/DVSA approved Driver CPC courses at the location of your choice.
