Su Winch of Novadata the new Vice-Chair for NDGTC
Managing Director of Novadata Transport Training, Su Winch, has become vice-chair of the committee of The National Dangerous Goods Training Consortium (NDGTC). Novadata, a leading provider of Driver and Operator training in the transport industry, enjoys a national reputation for excellence and innovation and Su takes her extensive experience and personal enthusiasm into her new role as committee vice-chair.
"I am absolutely delighted to have an opportunity to influence and improve such a key area of the transport industry", Su commented. "In an industry where regulations and guidelines are changing so rapidly, the delivery of up to date training materials to benefit the health and safety of both the public and drivers is akey concern. Working as vice-chair of the NDGTC is challenge that I will relish."
The NDGTC has been producing training materials since the 1970s, working with government departments, examining bodies and industry specialists to ensure that all of those involved in the transportation of dangerous goods in the UK are able to work safely and effectively. The fact that the UK enjoys an excellent safety record is, in part, a result of the very high standards of training available to drivers and operators through the NDGTC. They are able to safeguard against the possibility of a hazardous incident but, if such an event were to take place, drivers and operators that have undergone NDGTC training should have all of the knowledge necessary to deal with the consequences and ensure the health and safety of both the public and themselves.
