Novadata invests in the future as Su Winch takes the wheel
Following a phenomenal growth period of 20% year on year over several years, leading training provider and tachograph expert Novadata has restructured its management team in preparation for continued future expansion. Taking the helm as Managing Director is Su Winch, who has been with Novadata since 2006. Formerly a trader on the Financial Futures (L.I.F.F.E) Exchange, she brings with her a fresh perspective from other industry sectors.
Working closely with her will be founder and Managing Director , Derek Broomfield, who will be assuming the role of Chairman. Together they will spearhead the development of Novadata's strategic direction, ensuring its continued success.
"I am already enjoying the challenge of being Managing Director, building on all that Novadata has already achieved," says Su Winch. "In an industry that is increasingly affected by changing legislation and legal requirements it is rewarding to see Novadata providing products and services that assist fleet managers and owner operators alike to stay legal on the road." As one of the few women at the head of organisations in the transport industry, Su Winch is well qualified for the role and leads by example, holding an ADR licence, Management CPC in National and International Road Haulage, Management CPC in National and International Passenger Transport, and a Level 3 ILM award in First Line Management. She has also completed her 35 hours of periodic training to enable her to obtain a DQC.
Derek Broomfield will still be hands on his new role as Chairman. "The new post will allow me to take more of a strategic overview," he says. "With Novadata in safe hands day to day, I will be able to look to the future and see in which areas we should develop our offering.
Founded over 30 years ago by Derek Broomfield, Novadata provides a wide range of training courses including Manager and Driver CPC training, with a reputation as one of the UK's preferred transport training providers. Novadata's premises are certified by OCR, as well as SQA and City and Guilds, as an examination centre. Courses are fully accredited by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT).
