Driver CPC - Drivers Hours Refresher & New Digital Tachographs

This course aims to update professional drivers of the rules and regulations concerning drivers' hours and working time. The course also brings a driver's knowledge of digital tachograph technology up-to-date with demonstrations and examples of usage of the new digital tachograph units. It explains the operation of the new Stoneridge SE5000 and VDO 1381 and refreshes knowledge of Drivers Hours Law.

The Rules on Drivers' Hours, Regulation (EC) 561/2006 and GB Domestic Rules:
- Daily/weekly/fortnightly driving limits and driving breaks
- Daily and weekly rest requirements
The Rules on Working Time and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005:
- Breaks from work
- The definition of work
- Maintaining weekly average at or below the legal limits
New Digital Tachograph Usage:
- Explanation of different digital tachograph cards
- Understanding what a digital vehicle unit (VU) records, logging in and out of digital VU and manual entries on digital VU
- Rules regarding downloading digital data
- New features of the latest VDO and Stoneridge vehicle units
