COVID-19 update: The Department for Transport has confirmed that, due to the present Coronavirus situation, the validity of all DGSA certificates due to expire between 1 March 2020 and 1 February 2021 will be extended until 28 February 2021. However, if your DGSA certificate expires during this period, you will still need to attend DGSA periodic training and pass an examination before 28 February 2021.
Provided you pass this examination before 28 February 2021, your DGSA qualification will be extended for five years, starting from the date that your current certificate would originally have expired.
Businesses that handle, process or transport dangerous goods on a regular basis, should have qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers in order to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. A DGSA Vocational Training Certificate is gained by passing a written examination. This must be issued before they can take up their duties; and it must be renewed every five years. You can find our course dates here.
Novadata provides both initial and refresher DGSA training.
