Novadata specialises in driver training packages aimed specifically at those leaving the armed forces who wish either to transfer their military skills or seek a completely new career in transport. Our training can be a single course or a training package tailored to an exact future career requirement. We can provide advice as to what will suit you best. Call us on 01376 552999 or email enquiries@novadata.co.uk.

Novadata is an approved training provider for the MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) scheme, referred to as ELCAS, the initiative which promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the armed forces. The ELCAS scheme for the armed forces provides grants towards transport training, as a single payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. The value of the grant is 80% of the training cost, up to a maximum of £1000 per year including VAT.

If you are unsure of the training you require to pursue a transport related career, we can offer advice based on current industry trends. We can also advise on training packages that are eligible for Enhanced Learning Credits funding. Your transport training must lead to a nationally recognised qualification at level 3 or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and must be with an ELC approved training provider such as Novadata.

Service Leavers Training Package

We are now offering a package for service leavers. This will allow leavers to gain their 35 hours' Driver CPC Periodic Training in either Road Haulage or Passenger Transport as well as the potential to complete their Management CPC. This means that you will not need to attend separate Driver CPC courses in order to apply for your first Driver Qualification Card (DQC) which will allow you to drive professionally. You are not authorised to drive without a valid current DQC.

You will need to complete 35 hours of attendance at periodic Driver CPC training every five years, in order to keep your DQC renewed and current.

The offer allows Service Leavers to use their IRTC grant to offset or pay in full, the 20% personal contribution required when booking the course.

Service Leavers will need to obtain MOD form 1746 which can be found by clicking the link below or through your resettlement officer. Complete the form and send us a copy for our confirmation. The remainder of the paperwork can be completed with your resettlement officer.
