ADR training at your own premises
Prices on application
ADR refers to the European Agreement which also enacts the UK's Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Act. Although the UK is no longer part of the EU, it is still a legal requirement for drivers who transport dangerous goods to hold a Vocational Training Certificate issued by SQA. Novadata's ADR training courses are approved by the Department for Transport.
Staff who handle or administer dangerous goods should also have dangerous goods awareness training. If it is inconvenient to send your teams to us, we will bring our training courses to you, on a date that is convenient to you.
ADR training
Drivers who regularly transport goods classified as dangerous are required to hold a Vocational Training Certificate issued by the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority). This ADR vocational licence must be renewed every five years, so drivers are required to attend an ADR training course and pass the exams before the renewal date of their five-year licence.
If you have a group of six or more drivers who require an ADR vocational licence, we are happy to deliver the range of ADR training courses at your own premises.
Depending on your organisation’s commercial activity, you may need a combination of the following courses:
ADR Class 1 and Class 7
Candidates who require the further qualifications for ADR Class 1 Explosives and ADR Class 7 Radioactives should attend our scheduled courses in Braintree, Essex, as the examination set by SQA is held on the same day as the course.
Examinations
Examinations for the ADR vocational licence can be taken at our SQA accredited examination centre in Braintree, Essex. The exams are taken in person at our centre in digital format. These are online examinations and the result is available immediately after the exams.
If the candidate successfully passes the exam, their vocational licence will be processed and granted promptly. All examination dates are set by SQA, so we are not able to rearrange these. However, we will deliver the training on a date that suits your organisation.
Dangerous Goods Awareness training
If you have employees who regularly handle, administer or factor dangerous goods, they will be required to attend Dangerous Goods Awareness training. We are pleased to provide expert trainers to deliver dangerous goods awareness courses at your own premises. These do not require an examination to be taken, so can be arranged on a date to suit you.
Choose your own location
We are happy to deliver training at your own premises or at a venue that you hire for the purpose.
If you have a group slightly smaller than the ideal minimum number of candidates, you may wish to invite colleagues from another organisation to form a larger group.
