Novadata provides DVSA approved Driver CPC training courses in Essex. Our courses are delivered by expert trainers, all of whom are experienced transport professionals, so our candidates also frequently come from other locations across the UK. If you drive a bus, coach or large minibus for hire or reward, you are required to hold a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) as part of your legal entitlement to drive for a living. In order to renew a DQC, you must attend 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training every five years. Please click on individual courses below for more details.

Thanks to our focus on improving skills, increasing safety and ensuring compliance with relevant transport legislation, all our Driver CPC training courses are formulated to encourage compliance with industry best practice, with plenty of practical application in the workplace.
Please plan your Driver CPC training carefully to ensure that you cover a variety of topics which will help you professionally. You are not permitted ‘unnecessary repetition’, so attending the same course multiple times may result in some of your training hours not being credited to your total, and your DQC could be revoked. You may repeat a first aid course every three years in order to renew a first aid certificate, but other topics should ideally be covered only once every five years, unless there is a major legislative change which requires you to update your knowledge. Plan ahead, and book a good selection of courses in plenty of time to renew your DQC.
If you passed your PCV driving test recently, to obtain your first DQC you may need to take Initial Driver CPC training. Please contact us and a member of our team will be happy to advise you.
Driver CPC training at your own premises
If you have a group of drivers who require Driver CPC training, we are happy to provide one or more of our popular JAUPT/DVSA approved courses at a location of your choice. You may have enough drivers to fill a course, or you may wish to gather a group from other organisations in your area. We are happy to send one of our expert trainers to deliver Driver CPC training at your own premises or locally hired venue.
