Novadata has an enviable reputation within the road transport industry. We provide expert transport training, services which help transport businesses to stay compliant, and a range of specially tailored products. This threefold approach aids compliance within an increasingly complex legal framework, helping managers and drivers to protect their Operator Licences and safeguard their livelihoods and businesses.
We have our own accredited examination centre and offer training, revision and examinations in the Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for both Road Haulage and Passenger Transport qualifications. We achieve particularly high pass rates for candidates through expert tuition from experienced transport industry professionals. Once our candidates achieve their qualification, they can return for a Transport Manager CPC Refresher course, to ensure that they stay uip to date with best practice. We also run highly beneficial Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT) courses, which help transport professionals to understand and comply with Operator Undertakings, at our training centre.
You can complete your periodic Driver CPC training with Novadata, attending our DVSA/JAUPT approved courses for both LGV and PCV drivers. We also offer specialist training such as ADR, the qualification needed for the transportation of 'dangerous goods'; and we are one of the few UK training organisations to offer training in the safe handling of radioactives and explosives.
We provide training for Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors, who must be appointed by companies who transport goods classified as dangerous under UK and EU legislation. It also offers a range of products and services which help transport companies to ensure they comply in these and other areas covered by transport regulations.
Founded over forty years ago as a tachograph analysis bureau, Novadata is still one of the UK's foremost providers of tachograph analysis, as well as a walkaround check app, digital Drivers Licence Checks, a digital remote downloading and tracking module, and a fleet maintenance management solution. We provide Transport Systems and O Licence Audits to assess Operator Compliance Risk Scores, DGSA consultancy and advice on compliance.
We have developed a wide range of products designed to help with healthy compliance, such as our highly popular vehicle report books which assist with the daily walkaround check, defect reporting and rectification and regular maintenance and inspection, as well as security and agency driver checks. We also provide a full range of analogue and digital tachograph accessories.
Novadata caters for individuals and fleets of all sizes and we can administer and project-manage transport training for each organisation if requested, ensuring that periodic training is kept up to date.

Derek Broomfield – Chairman
Derek is our founder and Chairman, and has nurtured Novadata since its early days. It’s due to Derek that, in addition to a range of advanced tachograph analysis solutions, we’re also one of the UK’s leading transport training providers. He also masterminded our range of transport compliance products and outstanding services, all of which help transport operators and their businesses operating legally and compliantly. There isn’t much he doesn’t know about the transport industry.
Su Winch – Managing Director
Su began her career in the fast-paced landscape of the City of London, as a Financial Futures Trader, so she truly understands the demands and pressures of running a successful business. Having left the financial world behind, she became steeped in the transport sector and shares the same Transport Manager CPC qualification as many of her Novadata clients. Su’s analytical approach helps to steer Novadata and develop our future, anticipating and meeting the needs of our customers.
Mark Lewin – Director
Our Director, Mark, is a former LGV driver with hands-on understanding of the challenges faced by drivers, transport managers and company directors/owners alike. Mark not only delivers some of our transport training to candidates in the classroom and online, but also helps to develop new syllabuses and shape our services offering. Our go to person for puzzling questions, his grasp of transport legislation is outstanding, as is his network of expert transport industry contacts.
