Kevin Rooney appointed new Senior Traffic Commissioner
Kevin Rooney has been appointed to take over from current Senior Traffic Commissioner Richard Turfitt, from 1st June 2025. He is to assume the role of Senior Traffic Commissioner following 13 years’ service as Traffic Commissioner for the West of England, a role in which he will continue to fulfill while in his new position as Senior Traffic Commissioner.
Most operators will be hoping not to meet a Traffic Commissioner in person, as this could mean that they have failed to meet their O Licence undertakings. To avoid the notice of the TC, it is wise to attend a Transport Manager CPC Refresher course, or an OLAT course, on a regular basis.
