Change your Digital Tachograph to Local Time

The UK’s clocks will go back one hour on Sunday 27th October 2024 at 02:00 British Summer Time (BST), as we return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Many drivers prefer to have the time displayed on their tachograph set to local time all through the year, avoiding a one-hour difference between tachograph time and BST during the summer months. If you share this preference, you will need to reset local time on your tachograph twice a year; once in the spring, when the clocks go forward to BST; and again, in the autumn, when the UK reverts to GMT.

Our presentations show you how to set your tachograph to local time. Please ensure that you click on your make of digital tachograph, watch the presentation, and follow the instructions carefully.
