Transport Manager CPC course content:

Your course will be tailored to the road haulage industry. We are accredited by CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) to deliver all the training you need. This is designed to prepare you for the Transport Manager CPC examinations.

Transport Manager CPC exams

Gaining Transport Manager CPC certification requires you to pass two examinations. This includes a case study module and a multiple-choice module. You must pass both these modules of the cpc transport Manager training in order to gain your qualification. If you do not pass at your first attempt, you are permitted to resit exams.

You can take the exam on paper at our Braintree centre or take it online from home with remote monitoring. These are on set dates, scheduled by CILT. If you choose to take exams remotely, you will need to have the requisite equipment, plus a location free from distractions. If you choose to study on your own, you can still take your exams with us.

Approaches to study

There are three approaches to studying for Transport Manager CPC certification in road haulage, which are outlined below. Please click on each option to read more.

• In person classroom-based course

  Candidates attend a classroom-based course, which is delivered by our expert trainers, all of whom are industry professionals. This takes place at our CILT accredited centre in Braintree, Essex. Most of our candidates choose this option as it offers the highest degree of support. The entire course is ten days long, providing thorough preparation for your exams. You will also need to set aside an additional day for the actual examination.

  Examination dates are scheduled by CILT.

  If you also occasionally drive an LGV/HGV and need to keep your DQC (Driver Qualification Card) up to date for this purpose, our Transport Manager CPC courses can count as all 35 hours of Driver CPC training required. There is an additional administration fee to cover the cost of uploading Driver CPC training hours to the DVSA system. Please let us know when booking if you would like to include Driver CPC training hours.

• Transport Manager CPC eLearning Course (Road Haulage)

  If you can’t take a block of eight days to complete a classroom-based course, you may prefer a home study approach, but with some additional eLearning resources. This approach, available as a modular Transport Manager CPC eLearning Course for Road Haulage candidates, allows you to study from home at your own pace, while providing a series of on-screen courses to work through, covering key topics from the syllabus. These can also act as an invaluable aid to revision for all candidates preparing to sit, or re-sit, their forthcoming Road Haulage Transport Manager CPC exams. Candidates who have not studied for some years may also find this eLearning resource an excellent preparation for attending a classroom-based course.

  This transport eLearning course covers many of the key topics that feature heavily in the CPC examinations, and you can set your own schedule to work through the various eLearning study modules.

  In this option, you will need to purchase the Road Haulage home study pack. You can then purchase and utilise our Transport Manager CPC eLearning Course.

  You will be able to choose whether to sit paper-based exams in person, at our CILT accredited exam centre in Braintree, Essex, or online digital exams, via the proctored system. • Home study only

  If you wish to go it alone and adopt the home study approach, progressing at your own pace and setting your own timetable, you won’t have the benefit of any expert training, but you can purchase all the necessary study materials from us.

  You will need the Road Haulage study pack, which is available from our online shop.

  You are welcome to  sit your exams with us, on CILT’s set examination dates, either in a paper-based format at our own CILT accredited exam centre in Braintree, Essex, or online via the proctored system.
